From its literal action-porn film origins, "Deep Throat" is now the ultimate metaphor for revelation. Adopted first by Watergate secret source/FBI director Mark Felt, then by script-writers in popular series like the X-Files and The Simpsons, and journalists everywhere, it symbolises "whistleblowers" or secret inside informers. There's even a computer virus, Win32. "Deep Throat" allowing hackers to access data (inside secrets).
Me "Deep Throat" is my camera - what better indicator of the ambiguous world revealed in he throats of common flowers. Secrets of compositions within compositions, of extraordinary engineering complexity creating lyrical beauty in form, unbelievable colour combinations - these are the founding secrets of bio-diversity.
